RAIL FERRIES TERMINAL

The Port of Coatzacoalcos became the first and only port in Mexico to establish a railferry route to the U.S.A., with a system of general cargo marine transportation through the use of rail ferries with a scheduled arrival every 4 days, each with approximately 56 railcars.

They arrive at a specialized terminal in Coatzaport and at the one located in the port of Mobile, Alabama.

Since its opening in October 2000, the service has accumulated a total of 1,208,523 tons of cargo and a total of  248 arrivals.
