LOCATION OF THE
PORT
The port of Coatzacoalcos, in the State of Veracruz, is located in the
south portion of the Gulf of Mexico’s coastline; very close to the limits
with the State of Tabasco, approximately at 3 kilometres from the mouth of
the river with the same name, at 18° 09’ Latitude North and 94° 25’ Longitude
West. The concession was granted to “Administración Portuaria Integral” on It is contiguous at north with habitational
zones of the city of Coatzacoalcos, at south with the shipyards of the
Secretaría de Marina (Marine Secretariat),
east with the river’s left margin; facing front with Pajaritos petrochemical complex of and west with urban subdivisions of the
city. The harbor enclosure covers an area of 352.0 hectares (704 acres), of
which 122.3 are of land and 229.7 of water. |
